- Fatmat was developed in Australia in 2002. Wiltech are the New Zealand agent for this oil adsorbing product. Fatmat products absorb hydrocarbons and fats without the water retention characteristics that other foams have. Fatmat was originally developed to absorb the fat in canopies above deep fryers and grills in the restaurant market. This worked remarkably well and other uses have since been adopted for this amazing product. If oil spills or oil catchment is your problem Fatmat is your solution.
